He commented on my post right away. I was curious to how he figured out my post. When I just posted today.

I quickly messaged him on AIM and asked how he did, what he did. He said “All backlinks show up in my google alerts.”

Obviously, a good tip for the beginners. Try to do most things on your own. People who are already working hard on their own stuff, don’t have time to show you every little detail.

Do Your Own Research! Which is not hard at all.

I quickly did a search on google “back links on google alerts”.

The #1 page called “How to Build Backlinks via Google Alerts” summarizes almost all you need to know about BackLinks using Google Alerts.

This is a great tool, that anyone with a website should be using.

You learn something new, everyday.

I’ve watched this guy around the same time he started his blog, I noticed his big MONEY GOAL on the top right. It first started at $80,000/month when I saw it. He’s at $180,000/month as of June 2008. His new goal is $400,000/gross a month.

I will be reviewing his blog from Start to Finish. This is for my own reference and others who are interested in reading it. He’s been blogging about affiliate marketing for 15 months.

• Increase your CTR to over 3.6% and you can pay 1/6th as much as when you started. But still same position.

May 2007

• He has a few thousand invested in Stocks. He uses the money he doesn’t need.
• Diversifying his investments through: Roth IRA’s and CD’s, Stock, Municipal Bonds, High Interest Savings.
• He posted ShoeMoney’s Famous Ringtones Screenshot of $609,733 from AzoogleAds.com
  
• He has a great article on “Perry Marshall Ad Writing Tips”.

• He’s had success with his Arcade Gaming Websites.

• He sets strict deadlines for his business and works like crazy till those goals are met.
• He’s shooting for 5 figures  a month by next month for total revenue.

June 2007

• You need to have sales promotions. This is part of any successful promotion in your marketing strategy.

July 2007

• He made a great post on, “How To Win With Yahoo Search Marketing.”
  
• Don’t be Lazy! Always shoot for 5/5 Quality Score and ABOVE AVERAGE CTR %.
• His checks for June 2008.

• Make sure to get Gold Status Accounts with YSM.

• He made $200 direct linking.
  Although, Pre-Selling Approach lasts a lot longer than Direct Linking.
  People catch on quickly to the direct linking.
• He searched for the postings of “Rich Jerk” found his real name and started reading his postings. Which he learned some tips from.

  He fixed it, Downloaded the campaign, Deleted it, set it up again using better ad-groups, better ad-copy, and an updated landing page.
  
  During the surge, he fine tunes his campaign everyday. Over time, It increases in quality score because he tries to shoot for 4% CTR.

August 2007

• He’s focusing on long term investments that yield 10-15% interest a year. For more passive income.
• Switched all checks to weekly deposits, so he gets his funds sooner so he can use it on PPC.
• He’s part of a group of five (5). Who are all affiliate marketers, who help each other push sales to the next level.
• He posted a nice video about “Wiki Jacking”.
• He’s already outgrowing his own spending ability in marketing so he has been losing out in thousands of dollars.
• He has a total of 8 YSM Accounts and is only running 3.
• He’s ready to start tackling Google Adwords and MSN Adcenter.
• He’s going to register his business name today.
• Record Breaking Sales Day $875

• He plans on releasing another 2 campaigns. Which will hopefully, take his daily gross to a new level. Shooting for $1,000 a day.

• He’s adding campaigns to MSN Adcenter. His MSN Campaign can bring in 3,500 clicks per month.

How Do You Make Your Pages Permalinks?

The article I found is “SEO Friendly URL Structure for Wordpress Blogs”

Very Easy to Install. To Shorten the steps and make it easier. I have listed the steps below.

1. Install and Activate this Plugin
   http://scott.yang.id.au/code/permalink-redirect/
2. Login to WP-Admin
   Go to Options > Permalinks
3. Check the Custom, Specify Below.
   Insert “/%postname%/%post_id%/”
4. Click on Update Permalink Structure
5. Copy the bottom code
   Make a page .htaccess
   Upload to your public_html
6. FINISHED! - It should work by now.

I did this perfectly, fine. With this blog and another blog of mine.

This was a great find. To make it in this industry, you have to really break it all down to a science.

You have to know what you are doing and how to scale it, so you can make a lot of money.
