I quickly messaged him on AIM and asked how he did, what he did. He said “All backlinks show up in my google alerts.”

Obviously, a good tip for the beginners. Try to do most things on your own. People who are already working hard on their own stuff, don’t have time to show you every little detail.

Do Your Own Research! Which is not hard at all.

I quickly did a search on google “back links on google alerts”.

The #1 page called “How to Build Backlinks via Google Alerts” summarizes almost all you need to know about BackLinks using Google Alerts.

This is a great tool, that anyone with a website should be using.

You learn something new, everyday.

How Do You Make Your Pages Permalinks?

The article I found is “SEO Friendly URL Structure for Wordpress Blogs”

Very Easy to Install. To Shorten the steps and make it easier. I have listed the steps below.

1. Install and Activate this Plugin
   http://scott.yang.id.au/code/permalink-redirect/
2. Login to WP-Admin
   Go to Options > Permalinks
3. Check the Custom, Specify Below.
   Insert “/%postname%/%post_id%/”
4. Click on Update Permalink Structure
5. Copy the bottom code
   Make a page .htaccess
   Upload to your public_html
6. FINISHED! - It should work by now.

I did this perfectly, fine. With this blog and another blog of mine.
